18 Months Old

I made a point to shoot alot of her when she turned 18 months, knowing that after Dean came time to do this would be scarce. I took these on three different ocassions. The first couple I actually took earlier this week. She has put on some weight and you can tell in the first few photos, her cheeks are chubbier. But she still sits in the bottom 10th percentile in weight.

My Adobe Photoshop free trial has run out so I edited these on a really basic program called Fast Stone. It doesn't have all the bells and whistles, but I still loved how a lot of these came out. I tried to capture her little personality, and I think I got it in a few.

Doin a little jig. She loves to dance and especially loves the worship at church. She throws her hands up and is charismatic through and through.

New things: Gives kisses to Dean and likes to put his pacifier in his mouth then take it away. Has learned that she can climb. She climbs up on Dean's crib to look at him, then cries cause she can't get down. On a few ocassions I have caught her on the changing table playing with the wipes and baby powder. Likes to say "cold" all the time, even when someting is not cold. Since I have been with Dean more and less with her, when I get up in the mornings, she looks up at me and smiles real sweet and whispers " ma ma". She whispers whenever she talks.

Eleven days old

I haven't taken many pictures this past two weeks. But here are a few from the past 11 days. I can't believe he is 11 days old. I love having a newborn, he is so sweet!!!

We are soo thankful for our new addition to our family!

Dean is doing awesome. He is nursing great and does 3 hour stretches during the day and 4 hour stretches at night. It is such a blessing from the Lord! I must say, the second time is so much easier! It's like night and day!

Dean had jaundice and had to be put under phototherapy lights for a few days.

ER is doing better than I expected with Dean's arrival. She is always asking where he is when she gets up. She gets the occasional jealousy mode when I am nursing or holding him. But the new thing she does now that he is here is that she will lay with us for long periods of time. It is so sweet!

DEAN ALEXANDER

Dean Alexander it is! I got to visit Lillian this week for a little bit so here are some updated photos of the little guy. Lil says that he is up to 7 lbs. 11 oz. already! (he's gained back his birth weight and then some after one week of life).
I promise I haven't hijacked Lillian's blog for good, this shall be my last post! I know how much more impressive her photography skills are than mine!

Here are some pictures of Dean from today. He's a cutie isn't he? The poor guy still remains middle name-less. Perhaps it shall be "Lincoln" seeing as though he shares a birthday with Abe.

Welcome to the world Dean

Dean was born at 9:32 on Tuesday, Feb. 12.
He was 7 lbs. 8 oz. and 20 inches long.

I am going to try to visit this morning and shall return with more pictures!
(Also, hopefully I can relieve your suspense as to what this little guy's middle name is!)
